From Bomba to Rumba to Salsa, this interactive event had the audience on their feet.
FRIDAY NOV 3rd and SATURDAY NOV 4th - #ConnectionThroughProjection: Cuba Comes to Illuminus Boston Festival!
MetaMovements’ #ConnectionThroughProjection at the Illuminus Festival in Boston connects us to dancers in Cuba! Inspired by our cultural exchanges and people-to-people trips, MetaMovements brings a part of Cuba to Illuminus through audience engagement and projection! This event is FREE!
It's a Latin dance party on the street! Chosen to be featured at Illuminus Boston 2017 by a panelist of artists and entrepreneurs, MetaMovements' "Connection Through Projection" will provide participants with a glimpse of Cuba through video projection as professional dancers on the island lead us in "Timba Dance Lines" from the streets of Havana! Join in the fun and follow along, learning traditional Cuban steps from styles like Rumba, Mambo, Afro-Cuban, and more, all fused into today's "Cuban Salsa" (aka "Timba"). A variety of music will be played including but not limited to Salsa, Timba, Hip Hop, House, Dance Hall, Reggaeton, Timbaton and MORE! Let’s get moving together on the streets of Boston like they do in Havana, Cuba!
When: November 3rd & November 4th, 6pm-11pm
